The best Black Friday TV deals: Cheap QLEDs and all sizes of Samsung’s The Frame

BEFORE: Nov. 28, 2024, 10:00 am EST This post has been updated with the latest prices on the best live TV deals for Thanksgiving, including new Amazon Omni Mini LED deals and a 55-inch 4K TV under $180 at Walmart.
As one of the OG staples behind those Black Friday clips you’re snapping at right now, we know from most of our adult lives that Black Friday is one of the best times of the year to buy TV.
The types of TVs featured in pre-holiday sales have changed, however. The biggest factor when upgrading your TV this year will probably be the familiarity – and later, the affordability – of QLED. In the past few years, QLED TVs have officially gone from “the coolest TV you know” to being accessible to the average home. Finding a 55-inch QLED under $300 or a 65-inch QLED under $500 during an event like Black Friday isn’t hard at all.
However, the “best” TV deal for one family may not be the “best” TV deal for another. Rather than wading through the maze of tabs in the store’s TV aisles, knowing what type of TVs each major retailer tends to focus on is a smart way to go.
Are the best TV deals at Amazon, Best Buy, or Walmart?
In my experience, Best Buy specializes in large screens and has a larger selection of premium QLED and OLED models from Samsung, Sony, and LG on sale. Amazon is gearing its TV discounts heavily on 43- to 65-inch Fire TVs, especially its in-house models. Walmart is known for a very short list of doorbusters that tend to be the cheapest 4K TVs available for a given size, especially options in the 50- to 75-inch range that are likely to outsell TVs at other retailers. However, there’s been a bit of a plot twist with cheap 43-inch to 65-inch QLEDs this year — Best Buy kind of stole Walmart’s spotlight on that one.
These retailers’ TV wheels don’t completely prevent any overlap between TV deals, though. There will be a handful of popular models (like Samsung’s The Frame) that see similar prices across the board, but we’ll keep you posted if one retailer manages to undercut others on one of these icons.
I’ve been tracking Black Friday TV deals since early November and watching amp discounts even more in the days leading up to Thanksgiving – tons of models are already back to their October Big Day prices or hitting them entirely.
So yes, almost all of the TV deals on this list are already at their Black Friday prices — but that doesn’t mean retailers won’t hit us with some surprising price drops or add some secret doormats to their ranks. This list will be updated regularly as we head into Black Friday itself on Nov. 29 (and more) if you’d like to grab one and compare.
All newly added or updated deals are marked with ✨, while confiscated deals are sold out or expired at the time of writing.
Also: If you’re getting rid of an old TV to make room for this Black Friday shopping spree, take it to an old electronics recycling center (like Best Buy) rather than throwing it in the trash.
The best Black Friday TV deal
Why we love you
Remember when I said that QLEDs are now within reach of the average household? At $219.99, this 55-inch QLED hovers around the same price point as most conventional LED TVs that have been around for the past few years. Now, I can see this Hisense QLED 55-inch is the first TV for adults that a ton of people are buying. (Note: Best Buy dropped this price by an additional $30 since this TV went on sale a few weeks before Black Friday.)
The difference between those two cheaper TVs is that the “Q” in QLED stands for quantum dots, which create a layer of extra light on top of a standard LED panel to pump fuller colors onto the screen. QLED TVs are also brighter than standard LED TVs, making them ideal for watching sports, especially during the day.
