Facebook Conversion Location for Traffic Campaigns

Reminder: This is for Traffic campaign only.
Within the ad set, you may see a new conversion area for “Instagram or Facebook.” This allows you to “send traffic to an Instagram profile, Facebook Page or both.”
If you don’t have this update, you will only have Instagram. This is how you usually set a performance goal to increase Instagram profile visits. But now you can send people to your Facebook page, too.
After choosing your identity, choose your destinations. You will be presented with checkboxes so you can send people to your Instagram profile, your Facebook page, or both.
Creating an Ad
When you create your ad, there will be two CTA buttons, one for Instagram and one for Facebook. You cannot customize this.
If you go to the advanced preview, you will see that the CTA button and destination used will depend on the placement. A Facebook placement will send people to your page, and an Instagram placement will send people to your profile.
Surprisingly, the domain for the Facebook version is “Instagram.com,” but I created separate images for each version to highlight where each version is going. So it will go to Facebook, and it should be a bug display.
When Can You Use This?
You can use this if you don’t have a website to send people to. This is certainly a very high level of action, and you should prepare for conversion if possible. But sometimes you have limited options.
