Remember the School Opportunity?

Back in April, I wrote a blog post about Opportunity Score in Ads Manager. Well, now it seems to be gone.

What was it

Opportunity Score is gamified to receive delivery recommendations.

In theory, if you were following best practices, you would get 100 points. It doesn’t mean you should always blindly accept recommendations, but I’ve found it helpful.

Most of the time it was a silly feature, but the Opportunity Score inspired me to at least review ways I could improve my marketing. And I was totally guilty of accepting compliments just to improve my score. I would increase my budget by a dollar to say I’ve weighed in to get more points.

Does It Matter?

Maybe this was just an experiment. Maybe Meta decided that advertisers didn’t use it or it just wasn’t that useful.

I doubt the advertisers will care one way or the other, and I may have completely missed it too late. But I didn’t hate it either.
