Problem with Meta Advantage and Advantage+

[ad_1]

This is driving me crazy…

There’s a huge labeling and language problem with advertising, and it’s all Meta’s fault. It doesn’t matter if I’m talking to a new marketer or a veteran.

Let’s discuss…

The Labeling Problem

Advertisers use the terms Advantage and Advantage+ interchangeably. I always need to ask clarifying questions to know what they are talking about.

Advertisers will just say “I’m using Advantage+ for this” or “I use Advantage for that.”

Does that mean you use Advantage+ Shopping? Benefit+ Audience? Advantage Detailed Targeting or Advantage Lookalike?

It is important.

I find that in most cases, marketers don’t know. They are not entirely sure. They don’t know the difference.

It’s frustrating, and it’s not their fault. Meta decided to mention at least a dozen features with the labels Advantage and Advantage+.

This makes it difficult for people to learn to advertise, not easy. And it makes it difficult for me to help them.
