Shark’s excellent AI Ultra robot vacuum is off on Cyber Monday
Robot vacuums can be great helpers at home, but they are often very expensive. Thankfully, Cyber Monday deals on these devices have arrived at the same time, knocking hundreds of dollars off the sticker prices of some of the high-end devices we tested. A version of one of our top picks, this Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum, is off and down to $300. That’s just a record low price, and this model comes with a freestanding base so you rarely have to part with it if you don’t want to.
As mentioned, the Shark AI Ultra is one of Engadget’s favorite robovacs; in fact, it’s a model our reviewer thinks most people should buy. AI Ultra offers reliable cleaning performance, accurate home mapping and an app that makes it easy to get the most from your new vacuum.

Another consideration is that the AI Ultra comes with a base station with a bagless design. In our opinion, that’s one of the main reasons to buy Shark’s robovac over competing models. While some of AI Ultra’s competitors will cost you a little more up front, in your lifetime one of those devices can end up spending a lot of money due to their reliance on proprietary bags.
The AI Ultra is also great if you value a quiet vacuum. In our tests, the Shaka model produced significantly less noise than other robovacs Engadget tested. It also does an excellent job of avoiding cat toys and other obstacles, with an object detection feature that allows the robovac to see objects as small as four centimeters. As long as you don’t need a built-in mop, the Shark AI Ultra is a great value, especially with a $300 discount.
