Sony Is Rumored To Make A New Native Game Handheld

Sony is reportedly making a new gaming console it will support the native game without needing a PlayStation 5. According to unnamed sources, the upcoming device will break away from Sony’s existing handheld offerings by allowing users to play games directly on the console.

Currently, Sony’s portable system includes the PlayStation Portal, a $200 device launched in November 2023. Unlike previous handhelds like the PlayStation Portable (PSP) or PS Vita, the Portal is designed to stream games only from the PlayStation 5 connected. Although the first reviews are criticized. its refined performance and unmatched visual quality, some users and editors have warmed to its performance over time, especially with recent upgrades.

Last week, Sony launched cloud streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium members on the Portal, which greatly improved its reliability and expanded its library to more than 120 PS5 titles. This update has strengthened the device’s appeal to some, but it remains a more flexible option compared to previous handhelds.
