What is Flexible Media? – Jon Loomer Digital

[ad_1]

Some advertisers are seeing a new feature in the ad manager called Flexible Media, not to be confused with Flexible Ad Format.

What’s going on? How does this work?

Let’s discuss…

Where You’ll Find It

When uploading a single photo or video, you may see a check box with the following message:

Enable flexible media to deliver media of your choice below to additional locations if possible to improve performance.

You can also see it during ad creation under your uploaded media.

Hovering over it can turn it on or off.

How does this work?

I haven’t been able to find official documentation on this, but my definition of Flexible Media is…

You can give a different art to each of the three placement groups (1:1, 9:16, and 1.91:1).

Creating ads

For example you might have provided a 1.91:1 image for the right hand column and another placement in its group. If Meta believes you can get better results with a square, it will test that too.

From what I can tell, this is available for all purposes when using a website conversion site and a single image or video. Since I haven’t found the official documentation, this is probably just an experiment.
